The breakfast treat is sometimes accompanied with other local street delicacies such as the prawn fritters and lobak (5-spice deep-fried pork roll).
On the menu in subsequent stops includes dropping by the Malaysian market to sample fruits such as local favourite durian, mangosteen, rambutan; try the intense assam laksa (a kind of noodles in fish soup), murtabak (think of it as a square and flat wrapped kebab), the refreshing nutmeg juice, teh tarik (tea with milk), cendol (shaved ice dessert). If not raining, get to see the way fishes are left to dry in the sun as the very part of the intricate process of making salted fishes.
